Weinberger, Jacob

Weinberger, Jacob
(1879-1956)
   American composer. He was born in Odessa, and taught there from 1915 to 1921. He emigrated to Palestine in 1922, and later settled in the US. His works include the opera The Pioneers, and a number of choral works, among them Prayers for the Sabbath, Isaiah and The Life of Moses.
